    The Stress Care Doc is dedicated to peer support training and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM), established in 2012 by Dr. Bart J. Leger. We focus on supporting first responders, healthcare workers, and other frontline professionals operating under high-stress conditions. As a retired first responder and board-certified expert in traumatic stress, Dr. Leger equips teams with the skills needed to manage stress, resilience, and mental well-being effectively.


    With in-person and online formats, The Stress Care Doc guarantees flexibility in how training programs are delivered.

    For over twenty years. I've been dedicated to helping first responders and other frontline professionals navigate the challenges of their demanding jobs. As a retired first responder, I understand the unique stresses and pressures that come with the territory I've paid my dues both on the job and by earning a PhD in counseling with a concentration in traumatic stress. My goal is to use my experience and training to make a real difference in the lives of those who serve our communities every day.


    My goal is to empower organizations to build strong, resilient peer support teams. I believe that everyone deserves a safe space to talk about their challenges and find the support they need to thrive. Whether in-person or online, my programs are designed to be flexible, practical, and engaging. By developing effective peer support systems, we can help employees manage stress, improve their mental health, stay on the job, and ultimately lead happier, healthier lives. I'm passionate about this work and am here to help your organization create a culture of care and support.
